Kickball: Worship Ministry versus Kids/Youth Volunteers
Saturday, July 10  |  3pm  |  Location TBA

The competition is on! The volunteers of Oakland Worship have challenged the volunteers in Oakland Kids and Emerge Youth departments to a kickball game! You must be a teenager or an adult to participate in the game, but the whole family is invited to cheer you on and enjoy the day! After the game, we will have a potluck together. Please see Josh, Noah, or Jeremy to sign up. Sign-ups for the potluck are in the choir room (downstairs by the elevator).

Kids Camp
July 19–23  |  Camp Harmony (1414 Plank Rd, Hooversville, PA 15936)

Kids Camp this year is going to be epic! Seriously—it’s “Camp Epic: Discover Heroes of Faith and How to Have a Superhero Faith!” Registration is $200 per camper (please make payments via cash or check), and is available to any child who has completed kindergarten through sixth grade. Night of Prayer & Worship
Sunday, July 25  |  Oakland OMC  |  5pm
You’re invited to another Night of Prayer & Worship, where like-minded believers across the community show up passionate about the Presence of God and hungry for breakthrough! Worship will be led by Josh Watts and a team of worship leaders and musicians from various unified churches, and there will be a team of people ready to pray with you if desired, as well as a revival-oriented talk by Jeremy Barkley. The night will be live streamed to Oakland Church’s YouTube & Facebook pages, so you can worship from home or gather with your small group!

Ministry Fair

Interested in volunteering? We will host a ministry fair with everything you need to know about all volunteering opportunities at Oakland! The fair will take place after each Sunday morning service.

Sight and Sound’s “Ruth” Live Stream

Come join us in the OMC for a free screening of “Ruth” by Sight and Sound Theatres. Bring your own snacks!

Men’s Ministry Pig Roast
Saturday, August 7  |  Oakland Church Parking Lot  |  6pm

Men, we’re having an all-out pig roast with all the fixings, and we couldn’t be more pumped! All you’ll need to bring is a lawn chair and a suggested donation of $5, and get ready to eat all you want, as well as play games and enjoy a bonfire. See you then!

Picnic + Baptisms at the Que
Sunday, August 15  | Quemahoning Dam Rd, Hollsopple, PA 15935  |  2pm

After Sunday’s services on August 15, our church family will be gathering at the Que. We’ll enjoy playing games, spending time together, and a huge potluck! (Please bring a dish, dessert, or drink to share!) At 2pm, we will have water baptisms in the lake. If you have accepted Jesus as your Savior and have never been baptized and would like to be baptized, please fill out an Adult Baptism Application found in any of our lobbies. You may place your completed form in the offering baskets or return it to the church office, and one of our team will be in touch with you.

Infant Baptism & New Member Class

If you wish to have your child baptized or you wish to become a member of Oakland Church, please contact the church office to schedule a meeting with Pastor Randy or register for the New Member Class.
*Although the infant baptism and new member presentation happens Sunday, August 22, our team will need to know your interest by Monday, August 16.
Women’s Retreat
August 27–29  |  Camp Allegheny
This retreat is a weekend away designed to let women refresh and renew their walk with the Lord. Our guest speaker is Cookie White with the theme “Becoming a Vessel for God’s Use.” Cost is $110, if registered before August 1. After August 1, the cost is $120. The Saturday Only price is $50. Brochures/registration are available in the lobbies at church.
