and Youth Pastor
A man whose heart is set on revival, Reverend Jeremy Barkley joined the Oakland staff in the fall of 2010. He studied Sociology at the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown and focused on Pastoral Ministry during his time at United Theological Seminary. In 2012, he founded the influential UNITED Johnstown ministry, which is a movement that gathers hundreds of teenagers and more than 80 local churches and ministries every spring and fall. Jeremy’s leadership and involvement in schools in the region earned him the Fellowship of Christian Athlete’s Person of the Year award in 2019. He has been married to his college sweetheart Heather since 2002, and they reside in Windber with their three children, Zachary, Tanner, and Sadie.
Reverend Joshua Watts champions the Presence of God and is a passionate advocate for the Kingdom, which he believes brings hope, healing, transformation, and vibrancy of life. He studied Bible & Theology and Ministry in the Arts in Central Bible College in Missouri, and has since helped found and develop two church plants. He joined the Oakland staff in 2018 as the Worship Pastor, where he oversees the music ministry, drama and production, graphics and online media, marketing, and all creative ministry. Josh has had the opportunity to lead worship or preach in nearly 20 nations, and he remains enthusiastic about discipling worship leaders and creating a culture in which God feels right at home.
