Oakland Worship Ministries
What We Are About
Romans 12:4-5 states, “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, hough many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” The worship ministries at Oakland, tech, drama, choir, dance, worship teams, youth band, strive to support the pastoral ministries and the church by creating an atmosphere where God’s people feel confident and comfortable as they worship the LORD. Truth be told, there doesn’t need to be music, dance, or any other creative medium in a service for God to be worshiped. However, our function as a ministry is to bring a bigger picture of worship and of our savior through music, drama, dance, and technology.
Ways to Serve
There are many opportunities to use your gifts and talents in the worship ministry. We are always looking for people who can sing, play instruments, dance, and act, as well as run sound, lights, and the screen for our Sunday morning worship services. We also run a full youth worship and tech team every Wednesday night at our Emerge youth ministry. As we grow as a church, our demands for talent will only increase! Please share your gifts!
