Oakland Church is a large, growing church in Johnstown, PA, with a vibrant history of more than 100 years—yet we remain more committed than ever to make passionate and compassionate followers of Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter if you come from a church background or if you forgot where you left your Bible years ago... you are welcome here!
Join us this Sunday!
Our 8:30 service is located in our main sanctuary and has a traditional feel. This Sunday will probably include a few beloved hymns and classics accompanied by organ, and a special song by our choir. All of our services follow through the same sermon series, and OaklandKids is available for your little ones, birth through fourth grade.
The 11am service takes place in our main sanctuary and offers something for the whole family, lasting about 75 minutes. You can expect to worship with a blend of old and new songs led by a full band, and each of our services follows the same sermon series. OaklandKids is available for your little ones, birth through fourth grade.
Our 5pm service happens in the Oakland Ministry Center each Sunday and has a modern, relaxed vibe. Worship ranges from a full band to a stripped back, intimate feel, and we've carved out time for more extended ministry around the altar. Every service travels through the same sermon series, and a staffed nursery is available for kids 2 and under.
Our Core Values

We actively worship using various styles and art forms. (Psalm 150)
We focus on prayer and believe in God’s healing power. (Acts 2:42-43)

We passionately engage in local and global outreach. (Acts 1:8)
We commit to needs-oriented ministry to all. (James 1:27, James 2:15-16)
