Global Leadership Summit 2019

Oakland Church is thrilled to be a host site again for the internationally acclaimed Global Leadership Summit, based out of Willow Creek Community Church and led by Craig Groeschel. If you are part of our Oakland family, you can register here. If you are not part of our Oakland family, no worries; you can register here as a guest.

Picnic at the Que
August 18  |  Beginning at Noon  |  Quemahoning Family Recreation Area

We are looking forward to our annual church picnic at the Quemahoning Family Recreation Area. If you are a part of our church family, or are looking for a way to get connected, please join us! Lunch is not provided, but feel free to bring your own and eat it there. There is an adult baptism service at 2pm, and a covered dish supper will begin at 5pm. Oakland will provide drinks, hot dogs, hamburgers, and corn on the cob for dinner, and you are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share! The Que has so many fun things to do, like swimming, a playground area, kayaking and canoeing, and more.

Water Baptism
August 18  |  2pm  |  Quemahoning Family Recreation Area

Oakland will have a baptism service at the Que, starting at 2pm, during our church picnic (see above). If you would like to baptized in water, please let us know.

Camp Allegheny Women’s Retreat
August 23–25

This retreat is a weekend getaway designed to refresh women and renew their walk with the Lord. Our guest speaker is LuAnne Baker with the theme “Into the Looking Glass: Face to Face with Jesus.” Cost is $105 if registered by August 1; after August 1, the price increases to $115. The ‘Saturday Only’ price is $50.
